Co-director of DJ Kingdom and the DJ Academy, Andy King is a former Midlands and UK Celestian DJ of the year. Andy has worked all over the UK for over 20 years for all major companies as DJ and Promotions Manager. During the 90's he set up and operated Passion and Pain Club nights that were the biggest independent nightclub promoters in the midlands. His resident DJ's included the likes of Steve Lawler, AJ Gibson and the Late Godfather of Hard house Tony De Vit.

Andy who is the founder of the DJ Academy is still actively DJ'ing and promoting Passion & Pain at Club Evolution in Worcester every Saturday night.

Co-director of DJ Kingdom and The DJ Academy, Damien Deighan has been DJ'ing for 10 years and has played at various club venues around the midlands. He is currently the resident at the weekly "Almost Del Mar" night at 52 Degrees North in Birmingham and has been resident at Zinc Bar in Birmingham for the last two year.

He also presents a weekly show at Solar Radio, the worlds only 24 hours specialist Soul, Funk and Jazz radio station. Solar radio broadcasts on the Sky Digital Network on Channel 879 and across the globe at www.solarradio.com.

DJ Trixta has been a DJ for 15 years with ten years teaching experience. He has toured the world with his unique 6 decks mixing technique called “Cubism”  with which he is GUINNESS BOOK of RECORDS HOLDER for SIX DECK MIXING. Trixta’s current residency is at “D3” and produces for pioneering rave organisers “Spooky White”. His early residences in the 90’s included “Sunnyside Up” in London For 5 years.

DJ Trixta has established his residences world wide including the United States , Japan , Australia , Greece , Spain , France , and here in the UK at “Ministry of Sound” in London and “The Manour“ ( Bournemouth ).  Trixta also is a great music producer and made his first Record contract at only 18. His career began in his own eyes the moment Jazzy Jeff was thrown out of the Bel Air Mansion for scratching up Uncle Phil’s classic 1950s records.

Then only 11, DJ Fricktion, began a campaign to convince his parents to combine his Birthday and Christmas presents that year, and buy him some second hand turntables and a mixer.  Now, with over 11 years experience, and a new appointment at Def Jam UK, DJ Fricktion’s turntable skills are setting the standard for a new generation of Hip-Hop and RnB DJ’s.

DJ Fricktion regularly calls upon every trick in the book to hype up the crowd, from mixing on three turntables, to beat juggling and scratching.  Pushing himself even further, he dressed up as Kanye West’s Bear Mascot to DJ at Def Jam’s launch party for the multi-platinum album, Late Registration.  After spinning in costume, Head of Def Jam UK’s Street Team and BBC 1Xtras, DJ Semtex made DJ Fricktion an Official Def Jam UK DJ, a title well deserved after years of DJing from his collection of over 10,000 records.more info

DJ Academy Organisation would like to welcome DJ Muzzell as our latest Tutor and Expert. He is also available for one on one sessions midweek in the South of England.

From the tender age of 15, Martin spent most of his youth spinning both 7” and 12” vinyl on a pair of converted Realistic belt drive turntables. He realised at that age that this misspent childhood was a passion that was going to become more than just a hobby.

His first real opportunity arose at the age of 21, when he decided to go traveling with Hong Kong his first pit stop. Here he met and became very good friends with Lee Burridge, and together both worked at various venues in Hong Kong . A DJ agency – ‘Innova’, specialising in Asian contracts approached and offered work to Martin in Singapore and Indonesia . After two years, in 1993, and after returning to Birmingham it was time to hit the club scene at home.

It was only a short time before Martin gained residencies at credible clubs such as Bakers, Toots and Liberty ’s . Throughout his long career in the DJ scene, he has gained experience in all areas of the field, and has adapted his style to a current flavour of vocal house with slices of Latin & Jazz. Martin presently DJ’s in his hometown of Birmingham for the likes of Miss Moneypenny’s, fuel and Promise at Club Hidden. He regularly guests also at various other clubs around the country to include, Blend in Derby, The Loftin Maidstone, Kinky Malinki at Pacha and SoundsHeavenly to name but a few.

In 2000, Martin became Music Editor for 69 Magazine – A credible Midlands lifestyle publication.

Matt Johnson is one of South Wales's & South West England leading DJ's & Promoters. He has played all over the UK, held a six month residency in Portugal and regularly plays in Ibiza, including the likes of the legendary Cafe Del Mar & Cafe Savanah. Matt runs his own night in Bristol- New City Sounds- which is one of the most respected and authentic House nights to emerge in recent years. His events have made the "Recommended" listings of iDJ Magazine & he has also come runner up in the iDJ Magazine competition, being described by the magazine as "techinally blinding". With her experience spanning the last 13 years, Holly-Bee is quickly showing that she is a versatile DJ with an international appeal.   Starting off "back in the day" at London's "The Powerhouse" with Bobby & Steve, Pied Piper and Huckleberry Finn, her passionate US Garage and Uplifting House sets were always a winner with the ever loyal crowds.   Her style is now a mixture of up to the minute funky breaks and beats with a very Housey  feel - never afraid to drop an old classic tune. Filthy Dirty sets are often requested before an event, she never fails to please.   Recently she became a DJ for The IT Girls, a world class all female dance act who are going from strength to strength.   She has played at exciting venues across the globe including Twisted Republic (Bangkok) Green Mango (Koh Samui) La Grotta (Gozo) Dady 'O' (Cancun) and Oultra Lounge (Cancun).   Regular sets for Love Tec @ Pacha, Shiva @The Island, Houseproud, The Whitehouse and Dirty Retro and her own new brand Delice De Phunk are certainly helping to get her name around the UK.   Holly-Bee starts her own weekly show on London's internet TV,  "Clubtown TV" this week and you can watch this on Wednesdays between 8 and 10pm.    Elation Records have chosen Holly-Bee to be one of their representatives; their goal is the development of talented artists from around the world.   Last year Holly-Bee won a competition to play a set at Guilfest 2007 (with The Stanton Warriors and other big names) and took the roof off with a mixture of breaks, classic and upfront house.   With her own unique clothes designs worn whenever she plays out, Holly-Bee is sure to bring life and colour to your night often theme-ing her designs to match your event.
