DJ Tanz (a.k.a. Johnny Scratch)
DJ Tanz is a founder member of DJ academy who has been teaching students from all over the world for the past 10 years. His greatest achievement to date is teaching DJ Switch, who is the current DMC World Champion, having won the title 4 years in a row.
Known for his versatility at playing all styles from Hip-Hop to Breaks to Drum N Bass. He is one of the Academy’s scratch specialists and teaches advanced mixing & scratching. 2008 promises to be a big year for Tanz as he is set to release several productions as part of the breaks production duo “Font” (along with Trixta). Tanz is currently resident DJ at Risa in Cardiff and is a founder member of the DJ Academy Organisation.
His main base is in Worcester, and can teach up to any level, from beginners to World Champions!
