8 Week Part-Time DJ Course

During the first 4 weeks you'll learn about the equipment and how to set it up, you'll learn about the correct use of sound systems, you'll also learn about promoting yourself, how to produce demonstration CDs and select the right music most importantly we will teach you how to mix it. By the end of the first 4 weeks of the course, with a little practice, you'll be putting DJ sets together seamlessly and well on the way to being able to start promoting yourself to find real work and play out live.

During the second half of the course we will tailor your mixing skills to perfection, show you how to really impress your crowd and be noticed. Depending on where you want to take your DJ skills we'll teach you to scratch and perform in front of a large crowd. One of the most important aspects of the course is to make sure you really are ready to go out and earn money in your new career if that's where you want to head. That means teaching you how to use a microphone properly, keep a dancefloor full, promote yourself and your nights and deal with club management and promotions agents.

Everything to make you a real success, from tidying up your mixing, to looking after your accounts and tax is included in our extensive course. Play out live! After successfully completing the full "8 week" course, students will be given the chance to put to use all of the skills that the DJ Academy has taught them and put on their own night. This enables students to see their name on flyers and show off their skills to friends and family and hopefully even start a name for themselves! The student nights are a popular aspect of the course and have been a great success. Students operate the night totally independently and if they do really well, may even make back the money they spent on the course!!! The DJ Academy is the ONLY DJ training school in the country that actively encourages students to move from bedroom DJing to playing out live in a club situation. You will also receive a full set of course notes and a certificate of excellence which are now highly recommended within the nightclub industry.
